Dear Parents,
Our school has been selected to pilot a new learning platform for spoken Irish in association with IrishHomework.ie
The new platform gives the opportunity to students to study spoken Irish at home. IrishHomework.ie can be accessed through any online ready device.
It is hoped that by helping students practice spoken language at home that it will improve students use of Irish in class in all its forms.
Benefits:
For students:
* Be more comfortable in their use of Irish
* Get more enjoyment from Irish
* Spend less time learning Irish
For teachers:
* Assist in assessment of spoken Irish
* Have more time to focus on individual needs
* Satisfaction at better progress in Irish in general
For parents:
* Children can practice spoken Irish with little or no help from parents
* Have an opportunity to learn some spoken Irish for themselves
We ask you to support us in making the most of this great opportunity. We would like you to observe how your child interacts with IrishHomework.ie and give us feedback at the end of the pilot period.
